The small rowboat seen here, known as the "Moses", is a typical Barbados fishing boat used for fish-pot and reef-fishing in shallow waters.
The larger boat, called the "Ice Boat", was developed as an improvement on the traditional sailboats of the 1950s. They are equipped with refrigeration facilities - thus the name - allowing Barbadian fishermen to stay out at sea longer.
These boats can be seen along the South Coast of Barbados, stretching from Brown's Bay to Silver Sands, where Dolphin, King Fish and Flying Fish are the popular catch.
