Christian by name but not by nature", is this elderly vendor's reply when asked his bane, as he gives the 'glad-eye' to a passing young lady. On his cart is an assortment of fruit and provision; he evokes the good nature of a man who thoroughly enjoys his work. Many of the island's population are self-employed - vending the produce they grow.
