Sculpture Exhibition - 101 Art Gallery
Having begun sculpture at university in the sixties, the artist continued to produce three-dimensional work on his return to Trinidad but not in the abstract style of his university period and neither with the materials of that period (plastic, fibreglass and metal) but rather wood-carved figurative work on subjects drawn from his Trinidad environment. The exhibition at Gallery 101was the first tentative effort to show this work. The exhibition at the Keskidee Gallery in 1999 was a more polished effort.
